You will truly enjoy this one of a kind day tour to this underexplored region of lutruwita/Tasmania which showcases everything that makes lutruwita/Tasmania famous, from fruit orchards to forests.
Departing from nipaluna/Hobart, this day adventure takes you deep into the south of lutruwita/Tasmania along the southernmost road in Australia so you can explore the highlights of this stunning region. Discover why our island was once referred to as the Apple Isle as you sip on a tasting paddle. We drive through the historic riverside village of Franklin which still honours the traditional craft of building wooden boats.

There’s a reason Wineglass Bay is a bucket-list destination. This stunning bay is one of the most photographed vistas in lutruwita/Tasmania. It is also listed in the top 10 beaches in the world. Why? Shaped like a wineglass, this magnificent cove with pristine sand and turquoise water is bordered by the striking Hazards mountain range – pink granite peaks that rise from the sea.
Our day tour will take you to see this spectacular sight via a 1.5 hour 2.6km grade 3 walk in the Freycinet National Park. On our way there we will explore the highlights of the Great Eastern Drive which meanders through quaint coastal towns, vineyards, and past secluded beaches on the way to Freycinet National Park. We pause at an historic bridge and find many photo opportunities along the way. If time allows, we will sample some oysters plucked straight from the pristine water or call in to Kate’s Berry Farm for a berry delicious treat.
This is a must-see part of lutruwita/Tasmania, so sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery.
